Our client located in Ottawa requires an Intermediate Solutions Architect for a long term contract beginning in June and ending March 31, 2010.

A current valid CIISD Top Secret clearance is required.

The following tasks will be required:

Implement an tracking and workflow module on Open Text BPM (Business Process Management) Server . (Customer has just finished implementing Open Text RDIMS – Record and Document Information Management System. This is a continuation of that project.)
configure software
define security and access parameters
establish technical support process
cross-train & knowledge transfer CSE IT employees
lead lesting , integration, PoC, roll-out, training, documentation
produce rogress reports, attend management meeting, etc.

Mandatory Requirements:

1) Educational Requirements:

1. University degree at the Bachelor level in Computer Science or Engineering/ Applied Science in one of the following disciplines: Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering; and
2. a minimum of five (5) years in the last eight (8) years were fulfilling the role of an IT Solution Architect as defined in at least five (5) of the mandatory experience paragraphs detailed herein;
OR
3. University degree at the Bachelor level in Science, Mathematics or Applied Science/ Engineering in a discipline other than listed in paragraph 1; and
4. a minimum of six (6) years in the last nine (9) years fulfilling the role of an IT Solution Architect as defined in at least five (5) of the mandatory experience paragraphs detailed herein;
OR
5. Community College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology; and a minimum of seven (7) years in the last eleven (11) years were fulfilling the role of an IT Solution Architect as defined in at least five (5) of the mandatory experience paragraphs detailed herein;

2) Technical requirements:

a. Perform operational and tactical planning to match business needs to technology options for a solution.
b. Lead a team of technical resources throughout a software development life cycle
c. Lead the development and application of technical expertise to ensure the effective use of the technical infrastructure and information systems.
d. Perform object oriented analysis and design of component base n-tier architectures including the use of UML.
e. Perform information management or information technology requirements documentation and analysis.
f. Coordinate more than one concurrent IM/IT project that leads to the implementation of defined IM/IT solutions to meet the stated business and technical challenges.
g. Establish and perform information technology product evaluations.
h. Implement IM/ IT frameworks or IT architectures. Must include at least one of the following:
i. Research or analyze IM/ IT frameworks or IT architectures.
ii. Communication of IM/ IT frameworks or IT architectures to management and development team.
iii. Initiate IM/ IT projects and complete IM/ IT projects using Frameworks or IT architectures recommended by the candidate.
iv. Lead the development and application of IM/ IT frameworks or IT architectures
i. Implement IM/ IT Solutions. Must include at least two of the following:
i. Research and/ or analyze and/ or recommend IM/ IT Solutions to management within the solution domain.
ii. Communicate IM/ IT Solutions to management and development team.
iii. Initiate and implement IM/ IT Solutions using Architectures approved by management.
iv. Lead the development or application of IM/ IT Solutions.

Additional mandatory requirements:

a. Minimum 2 years experience implementing Open Text’s eDOCS and/or Liveink DM in a 500+ user environment
b. Minimum of 1 years experience installing and configuring Open Text’s BPM Server software
c. Minimum of 1 years experience customizing BPM web forms using Microsoft .NET technologies
d. Minimum two years experience programming using XML
